 One of the most popular requests we received in 2009 was to provide affordable and accessible CM training course on CM Crossroads. In addition to training we were also asked to provide certification options as a CM specialist.
Well, we listened, and are proud to announce the launch of the CM Crossroads CM Training Series and Certification program.
Basically we are rolling out short (2 to 3 hours) yet content-rich instructor-led online courses around key CM topics. The cost of each course will be as little as $99 and you will not have to leave your desk (or couch…) to attend. The first courses will start in February and will continue each month throughout the year. Subsequent courses will roll out based on your vote (see poll!). CM Certification Testing is planned to commence in Spring 2010 and will be based on the material and content included in these online courses.

This online course is for CM professionals, developers and testers who are relatively new to CM or for those who have experience with CM but never had formal training and/or would like a refresher course. The course agenda incorporates the basics of CM with practical "real life" scenarios surrounding terminology, concepts, and the CM models and approaches from different organizations (IEEE, CMMI, ITIL, etc.). In addition, the course will include instructions and best practices for creating a CM Plan for your organization and will conclude with a live question and answer with a CM Crossroads CM expert panel. All students who complete this online course will receive a CM Crossroads "CM 101 – Fundamentals" completion certificate.

CM 101 told you what CM is all about -- now, this online course will teach you ways to practically implement CM in any type of environment including Agile environments, Waterfall environments, Iterative environments, etc. This course will cover key issues such as buy in from developers, management, and others involved with the software development process. In addition, the course will provide real world examples and best practices of how CM has been implemented and what has been successful as well as pitfalls to avoid. This course will be taught by a team of experienced CM implementation experts who have hands-on experience with all aspects of implementation and adoption. All students who complete this online course will receive a CM Crossroads "Practical CM" completion certificate.
