DevSpec is an integrated requirements management solution that is specifically designed to provide visibility, traceability and validation of your product or project requirements. Fully configurable: DevSpec features a fully-customizable user interface. Administrators can customize different projects to track as many requirement and specification attributes as needed by their process. A workflow can be built around the gathering of all these attributes.

DevSpec also contains complete integrated with development tracking and QA testing. Users can see all the development work items and QA test plans that serve as the implementation effort for every specification (and its linked requirements.)

Voting and Options give product teams a voice. DevSpec users can be allocated a number of points to vote on a certain feature or requirement. These votes can be used to form a feature set as well as provide revenue and cost estimates. This functionality allows teams to provide feedback on the development roadmap.

Integration with Word and Office presents new ways to harvest and collect requirements and customer requests. Through this integration, sets of knowledge, specifications, or requirements can easily be imported into the tool. Items can be published into the system from a word document. Future changes to the document can be synchronized into the system as well.

DevSpec also features change control around requirements and specifications. Changing an item may not be allows or may require an approval process based on implementation work that is occurring. These change request workflows can facilitate change management best practices. As requirements and specifications change, developers and testers can be flagged and made aware. This flagging minimizes the impact of changes, and mitigates risks.
