Automatic sync failure recovery
InSync automatically recovers sync failures including data packets loss by monitoring the status of each replica site and determining the appropriate actions to take. Manual intervention and diagnosis is avoided therefore reducing the impact on teams that depend on MultiSite for distributed development.
Firewall support for secure sites
InSync fully supports firewall configurations without needing to develop external methods, such as additional hardware, or other steps as documented in the Rational MultiSite administration manual. InSync provides the support to enhance the security of the data by encrypting the packet and or the transport method.
Multi-level synchronisation management
InSync supports the management of synchronisation schedules on a per ClearCase VOB/ClearQuest Family and/or per Replica level. With this feature all sites that should remain in sync can be managed through a single entry at the central site
Comprehensive email notification
InSync provides email notification on a number of defined levels, including synchronisation failure, success, remote site availability, and general system events. These notifications are can be configured at the system level, or on a ClearCae VOB/ClearQuest Family, or Replica level.
Web interface
InSync provides a web interface enabling users to report on and monitor synchronisation progress. It supports queries to search on synchronisation events, scheduling and system status. All users at any enabled site have dynamic access to synchronisation status.

... I have tried the Insync version for Clear case and I find it very interesting. I have tested on a windows environment and 2 vob servers are synchronized fine. I will try to synch more vob servers and hopefully Insync will be stable enough. |
