Application and Component Deployments
UrbanDeploy handles complex deployments where a single application is comprised of multiple components, tiers or builds. Each component will have its own deployment automation process. An Application can coordinate the deployments of multiple components, running some components before others or letting them run in parallel. Deployments to controlled environments can ensure that only versions of the components that have been tested together can be deployed on towards production.
Integrations not Scripts
UrbanDeploy comes loaded with dozens of integrations for application servers, databases, repositories, and even business intelligence tools. These integrations streamline defining the deployment process and help you replace difficult to write, distribute and maintain scripts.
An Inventory of What’s Where
We want to know what is in each of our environments, on each of our servers, and how it got there. Why is that so much work? With UrbanDeploy, it becomes easy. UrbanDeploy provides that visibility automatically in easy to consume dashboards that are always up to date. The inventory tracks what has been deployed to an environment and individual server to support bringing a new machine online quickly with exactly the right components.
Formal Environment Management
We want to deploy to production the same way as we deploy to test. However, the environments are not identical. There are different network topologies at a minimum and subtle variances to manage such as a database password in a configuration file that changes in each environment. UrbanDeploy manages each environment and the environment specific configuration for each project.
