BMC Software’s Ralph Crosby, Chief Technology Officer to Speak at AFCOM Data Center World

HOUSTON-BMC Software (NYSE:BMC) today announced that Ralph Crosby, Chief Technology Officer for Mainframe Service Management, will speak at the AFCOM Data Center World Conference to be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center March 30th through April 3rd on “IT Process Management – It’s Not Just Job Scheduling Anymore.”


During the presentation, Crosby will discuss the convergence of various automation technologies such as classic job scheduling, provisioning and incident management. He will address how the convergence of these technologies provides automated processes to a wider range of users in the data center. He also will discuss the convergence of these technologies and their relationship to IT management processes such as ITIL.

Crosby also will address the advantages of having a centralized management model via a Configuration Management Database (CMDB). BMC’s industry leading BMC Atrium CMDB unifies IT configuration and business priority information, utilizing both distributed and mainframe data, to provide a holistic view of IT infrastructure.
