Waltham, Mass. – mValent, Inc., a leading provider of automated application configuration software, today announced support for the latest IT Service Management (ITSM) solutions from HP. As a result of mValent’s integration with HP solutions, including Opsware System Suite 7 and the HP Universal CMBD, customers are able to leverage best-of-breed automation solutions across the application, network, server and storage layers of their IT infrastructure.
“mValent has a successful history of working with HP, and with Opsware prior to its acquisition by HP, to provide leading enterprise IT organizations with business-critical solutions for automating IT processes,” said Swapnil Shah, Founder and Chief Strategy Officer with mValent. “Our support for HP’s new ITSM solutions demonstrates our commitment to deliver high-impact tools to customers seeking to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the application infrastructure that underlies delivery of their mission-critical business applications.”
Today, mValent has a two-pronged alliance with HP spanning the following areas:
- HP is an authorized reseller of mValent Integrity. mValent’s software complements HP Business Service Automation solutions for network, server and storage layers of IT infrastructure (including technology recently acquired from Opsware). The combined solutions allow customers to extend the value of their implementations to include highly granular control of thousands of configuration settings for middleware assets down to the individual property level.
mValent is an HP Premier Partner for Application Release & Configuration Management in its Universal CMDB Ecosystem Program. Through a validated integration, mValent Integrity leverages and enriches the discovered asset and service dependencies in the HP Universal CMDB with highly detailed asset configuration settings, detailed change tracking and tools for comprehensive change provisioning to applications in any stage of their lifecycle, providing customers with rich capabilities to automate their application support processes.
“We are seeing an important trend in the market to manage change in a holistic fashion – across servers, networks, storage and clients,” said Chuck Neal, vice president of Channels and Alliances, Software, HP. “Our alliance with mValent and accompanying solution integrations enable customers to more rapidly achieve operational efficiencies and reduce labor costs across their IT infrastructures.”
