Santa Claus and MSN Canada team up to "Tech the Halls"
NORTH POLE, NORTH POLE-- Santa and his elves have been hard at work in the North Pole preparing for the holiday season - on their laptops. Today, Santa and MSN Canada, a division of Microsoft Canada Co., launched AskSanta.ca, returning for its third year as a place where families can access the Internet in a fun, online environment.

"Today's high-tech kids like to keep in touch with Santa the high-tech way," said Elfred Elveson, Chief Technology Officer of the North Pole. "AskSanta.ca is for all families looking for exciting holiday adventures that will keep parents and children alike anticipating the number of sleeps left before the big night."

AskSanta.ca helps families spread cheer the virtual way. Kids can email their wish lists directly to Santa's Windows LiveTM Hotmail® account. The Big Guy promises every child will receive a personalized reply whether they've been naughty or nice!

This year, the man in red has a Windows LiveTM ID® to help children chat with Santa online using Windows LiveTM Messenger®. By adding Santa to their Messenger contact list, families can also link to Santa's blog on Windows LiveTM Spaces® for daily updates on the adventures from the North Pole.

Your tour guide, Howard the Elf will walk families through this very merry site where folks can explore new ways to spend time together. Tech-savvy tykes can play games like Present Pile up, Christmas Puzzler, Factory Frenzy and more. Kids and their parents can also check out jolly gift tags from Santa's Workshop, colouring pages and carol lyrics. Families can even choose delicious cookie recipes from Mrs. Claus' Kitchen to bake for relatives and friends.

"Being online helps me keep track of which kids are staying in line, which means I don't have to check my list twice," said Santa with a jolly laugh. "All across Canada we can count down to the big night together!"
