"Why Don't Developers Wear Pagers Too?"
CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA-- MKS Inc. (MKS) (TSX:MKX) invites those attending the itSMF USA Fusion 07 Conference at the Charlotte Convention Centre September 17 - 18 to stop by its booth (#834) to learn how its enterprise Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) solution provides Global 1000 organizations with greater visibility over geographically distributed software development activities, enhanced development productivity and improved IT controls for regulatory compliance across zSeries, iSeries and distributed platforms. See what makes MKS Integrity 2007 stand out.
Dan Boutin, Strategic Solutions Manager, MKS, will discuss the
relationship between ALM and process frameworks like ITIL, CMMI, CoBIT
and ISO in his presentation to attendees, Tuesday, September 18th at
3:30 PM in Room 213D. Mr. Boutin will explore how to effectively
integrate these frameworks (taking a specific look at ITIL V3) with
application development, QA/Test and Operations, into an effective
software factory.
"The service desk provides the primary window for customer and user
contact with the service organization on a day-to-day basis. Though not
a process itself according to ITIL (it is a function), the service desk
may be responsible for a number of discrete functions within the
support organization," says Boutin. "By extending the Service Desk with
MKS Integrity, a unified application lifecycle management platform with
powerful process and workflow ability, traceability will not only
include configuration items (CIs) in production, but will also provide
the capability to link to all application development artifacts to be
able to perform end-to-end impact analysis, including the scope of the
resolution of the problem under analysis."
