MONROVIA, Calif.--Parasoft Corporation, the leading provider of automated solutions and infrastructure services that improve software quality and the development process, today announced the award of their latest technology patent for validating test data. The patented technology, which is incorporated into Parasoft’s technology suite, strengthens regression test suites and enables development organization to rapidly find the root cause of software errors.
Parasoft Corporation was issued U.S. Patent No. 7,266,808 on Sept. 4,
2007. The invention relates to a “method and
system for dynamically invoking and/or checking conditions of a computer
test program. Test cases that verify class/component functionality are
automatically created from the design by contract™
(DbC) contracts. When the classes/components that contain DbC contracts
are added to the system, the invention automatically verifies whether
the system uses them correctly. The information in the contract
continents is used to generate more comprehensive and better quality
test cases,” according to the U.S. Patent &
Trademark Office.
