SOA Consortium Presents: SOA Governance Roundtable Podcast

NEEDHAM, Mass.--The SOA Consortium™ today announced that a podcast and slide presentation of the SOA Governance Roundtable that was held at its recent European general meeting is now available on its website. To access the presentation, visit http://www.soa-consortium.org/podcast-pr.

The main objective of the SOA Governance Roundtable was to generate a meaningful conversation between Thought Leaders and meeting attendees on the hot topic of SOA Governance. Each Roundtable participant gave a five-minute overview of their thoughts on the following topics:

• SOA Governance Program Capabilities: ‘Top 3 key capabilities’ or ‘Three lesser known, but important capabilities’
• Human Factors in SOA Governance: Such as, the impact of SOA governance on the governed, or governors, or the use of social computing tools/technologies for effective SOA governance
• Best SOA Governance Practices from the Field: 2-3 best practices that their customers are employing
• Ties to IT and Corporate Governance: Discuss how (or how not) SOA Governance relates to IT Governance and Corporate Governance

SOA Governance Thought Leaders were:

After the individual presentations, SOA Consortium meeting attendees joined the discussion with questions and comments.

The SOA Consortium mission, strategies and tactics center on the following premises:

• Achieving the benefits of service-oriented architecture requires significant changes for both IT and business executives
• Service-oriented architecture is a business agility story, not just an IT integration story
• Enterprise SOA practitioners would greatly benefit from a vibrant practitioner community to drive local, business-driven, SOA success, and to spur broader enterprise, and industry-wide, SOA adoption.
