| LONDON & EMERYVILLE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aldon, the leading provider of process-driven Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) solutions today announced it has opened an office in the Middle East to support the growing business opportunities and IT initiatives throughout the region. The company has also appointed Samir Bekdashi as regional account manager, who will be responsible for driving business development in the Middle East, North Africa, Greece and Turkey.
The Middle East represents an important and strategic region for Aldon particularly in the banking industry, Aldon’s most successful market segment to date. According to Gartner’s March 2007 report titled Key Issues for Technology Providers: EMEA Software Market, 2007, “Eastern Europe and the Middle East and Africa are expected to see some of the highest economic growth in the world.” The report further indicates that “Western Europe is a very competitive volume market looking for sophistication, while Eastern Europe and the Middle East and Africa can be challenging but rewarding markets for software vendors as organisations look for basic application development and modern infrastructure.” Bekdashi has 26 years of experience in the Middle East software development market and brings with him a deep knowledge of the sector. Before joining Aldon, he was executive director at offshore software specialist BERIT and has also held the posts of sales manager at QuanTech and business manager at Bull ME where he spent 21 years. “As one of the fastest growing regions in the world with major development happening specifically in the banking industry, we see tremendous growth potential for our ALM solutions,” said Matt Scholl, chief operating officer at Aldon. “Bekdashi’s experience and local presence in the market will also be a great asset for customers and prospects as organisations in the region continue to grow their IT infrastructure to benefit business.” “ALM and change management are major growth areas in an increasingly competitive Middle East market and Aldon is already a well known name in the region,” said Samir Bekdashi, regional account manager, Aldon. “The company’s strong commitment to process management and meeting the needs of IT professionals will be a key factor in developing Aldon’s future business in the territory.” The Aldon Suite The Aldon ALM solution provides IT business process automation, requirements management, software configuration management, multiple version management and software deployment to companies worldwide.
