New System Will Improve Time-to-Ticket, Gate Agent Activities and
Customer Interactions, as Well as Reduce Reservation Errors and
BearingPoint will conduct interviews and surveys to understand the airline’s current processes as well as its senior executives’ desired outcomes. From this baseline, BearingPoint will then develop a set of selection criteria for reservation systems suppliers and manage the entire RFP process. Mexicana Airlines began its operations more than 85 years ago and it is therefore the airline with the fourth longest tradition in the world. It was purchased from the Mexican government in 2005 by a private equity investor group. Mexicana Airlines’ current reservation system is a legacy system, which has been highly customized over the years, making it difficult to maintain and develop.
