Mxi Technologies announced today that Thales, a world leader in defence and civil aviation electronics, has selected the Mxi Maintenix® software to provide maintenance management for their In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) systems. Implementation of the integrated, intelligent software solution will provide significant improvements to productivity, allowing Thales to enhance customer satisfaction through increased IFE passenger seat availability and reliability.
The Maintenix product will provide Configuration Management, Inventory Management and Line Maintenance Planning, Scheduling and Execution functionality, including fault and event tracking, using fault definitions and standardized recommended corrective actions. The Thales "meet and greet" teams and central operations center personnel will benefit from accurate, near real-time delivery of information and improved visibility into the onboard and in-flight status and performance of the IFE systems. "Thales IFE Systems selected the Maintenix system based on its component-centric design, ability to meet over 95% of the Thales functional requirements, and Mxi's reputation for successful implementations and exceptional client support," said Raj Ramasamy, V.P.
