CHICAGO-- ThoughtWorks, Inc., the leading global information technology professional services firm, today announced the delivery of a business-critical e-commerce solution for RezzLine, Inc.

RezzLine partnered with ThoughtWorks for the delivery of RezzLine.com--the first true reservation search engine. Unlike travel sites like Expedia and Priceline, RezzLine links directly to live hotel information, providing real-time rates and availability and ensuring the richest content and lowest possible rates. The beta version of RezzLine.com launched in April 2007.

The development effort used ThoughtWorks offshore delivery capability, its Agile development methodology, and the Ruby on Rails web framework. Im extremely happy with our working relationship with ThoughtWorks, said RezzLine CEO Pete Patel. They delivered early, and Im conscious of how rare that is in the development industry.

ThoughtWorks operates in six countries and its work with RezzLine took place out of its offices in Bangalore, India and San Francisco. Were seeing more and more demand for our offshore delivery capabilities, said Gary DeGregorio, ThoughtWorks VP for offshore. Our offshore work with RezzLine stands out because it put our ability to serve the needs of an extremely fast-moving business innovator to the test. We brought offshore Agile and Ruby into play, and Im proud to say the partnership has been a success both for RezzLine and for us.

Ruby on Rails radically decreased our time to market, Patel added. It was the right technology choice for us, and its a choice we could not have made without ThoughtWorks. The development team used Agile techniques and Rails utilities like Capistrano to deploy working code to test environments early and often, bridging the physical and contextual gaps between ThoughtWorks developers and RezzLines product visionaries.

About RezzLine

RezzLine is the first true search engine for reservations that offers real-time rates and availability so that travelers dont have to waste time searching for available rooms or the best rates across multiple Web sites. With its single image inventory control, RezzLine saves the hotelier time and labor while providing the richest content to the traveler by utilizing the hotels own Web site. RezzLine customers can count on the fact that there are no mark-ups, transaction fees or commission; that they are not at the mercy of a limited block of rooms; and that they will get the best rates down to the last room available because they are dealing directly with the hotels.
