CLEVELAND, Ohio -- March 7, 2007 -- The market leading build management and application lifecycle automation server AnthillPro has been further enhanced today with the release of version 3.2.
AnthillPro is a highly scalable Application Lifecycle Automation (ALA) server that allows teams to implement Continuous Integration (CI) and automate the build, test, promote, deployment, and release processes. A major category of improvements in this release focused on security. “Due to our strong footprint in the Banking and Finance industries, security related features are very important to us” commented Kevin Gill, Vice President, Marketing and Strategic Alliances at Urbancode.
AnthillPro now allows mutual
SSL authentication between the server and all agents. Agents no longer listen for incoming
connections, thus eliminating the possibility of an entire class of potential
security threats. In addition,
AnthillPro 3.2 includes integrations with all commonly used authorization
systems such as LDAP, Active Directory, Kerberos, Single Sign-on, as well as
custom authorization systems (supported via JAAS).
Continued adoption at the
enterprise wide level across many industry groups drove major improvements in
ease of management. Agents now have the
ability to update themselves to the latest release automatically. This greatly simplifies the administration
and maintenance of an AnthillPro installation as upgrades have to be performed
only to the server and all agents will be automatically upgraded. Version 3.2 of AnthillPro includes many
additional extension points that allow for scripting of the product for very
fine grained customization of its functionality.
"We continue to
experience a very positive reaction to the lifecycle automation concepts. When we explain our tool set for lifecycle
automation and build promotion, we usually see a lot of heads nodding and this
only increases post implementation" stated Maciej Zawadzki, CEO of
Urbancode.
AnthillPro 3.2 also includes
support for Oracle, MKS Source Integrity, ClearQuest, Windows Vista. Overall, over 200 improvements and resolved
issues were included in version 3.2.
