ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Lawson Software (Nasdaq:LWSN - News) today announced it has completed the global roll-out of Lawson Total Care, a software maintenance and support program that combines traditional product maintenance with customer-specific application management services. The tiered program is designed to help customers get the most out of their Lawson investment, providing the application and technical expertise needed to help maintain and optimize their Lawson applications in a predictable, cost-effective manner throughout the lifecycle of their implementation.

Lawson Total Care was introduced in August 2006 and has been well received by Lawson customers. Banner Health is one of more than 20 Total Care Silver customers already seeing the value of the enhanced Total Care offering. "Total Care was attractive to us because it allowed us to choose the support option that best fit our specific needs," said Kathy Schultz, system director, financial services, Banner Health. "We recently upgraded to Total Care Silver and we're very pleased with the level of responsiveness and customer support that we've received. It has helped us strengthen and deepen our partnership with Lawson."

Lawson Total Care currently gives customers three options for maintaining their Lawson applications - Total Care Bronze, Total Care Silver and Total Care Gold.

  • Total Care Bronze: Base level of maintenance including:
  • Upgrades, updates, corrections
  • Self-service tools, knowledge base
  • Access to Lawson support staff
  • Total Care Silver: Includes all Total Care Bronze, plus enhanced support, including:
  • Priority queuing
  • Non-warranty support ("how-to questions")
  • Annual system performance assessment
  • Status report and usage statistics
  • Total Care Gold: Highest level of support coupled with Lawson application management services, providing:
  • Lawson product, database and security administration
  • Support and maintenance of customer modifications
  • Installation of corrections and fix packs

Lawson Total Care is designed to take the burden off customers' internal teams for tasks such as corrections and fix packs, custom modifications, upgrades, administration of software installations, performance tuning, database administration and system maintenance. The program was designed over time based on customer requests for support and maintenance options from Lawson that allow them to chose what's right for their budget and their in-house expertise.

"Lawson Total Care reduces the cost and complexity of maintaining enterprise applications," said Henning Schulze-Lauen, vice president, Support & Delivery, Lawson Software. "Nobody knows the Lawson system better than we do, and we're making it easier for customers to tap that experience. Helping our customers make the best use of their software is a great way of ensuring customer satisfaction and business success."
