ALAMEDA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Perforce Software was recently honored with CMP Game Developer magazine’s ninth annual Front Line Award for best programming tool for game development. Perforce, the Fast Software Configuration Management (SCM) System, versions and manages all types of digital assets, including, source, art, audio, documents, and other binaries, during the development of wireless, console, PC, and MMORPG games.

The competition honors excellence and innovation in hardware and
software for programming, art, audio and game components. Winners were
chosen for their ability to advance the art of game creation by crafting
more efficient and effective tools.
