| Changelogic is an innovative configuration management system that focuses on providing development model instead of version control primitives. Changelogic supports CVS and Subversion as underlying version control system.
Changelogic supports task, change and release management, but the most notable feature of Changelogic is enabling managing branches in VCS from web interface. An example: you can create new change and plan it to currently stabilizing release line; now if it's clear that this change cannot be finished to the release date you can postpone it to the next release line from web interface. Task Management Changelogic contains traditional task and bug management part as it is present in many freeware tools, but its main value comes from integration with other parts. Change Management Every change is an isolated branch in VCS repository that only gets integrated to the release lines it's planned after going through review stage. All communication with VCS repository is done by Changelogic client that is included in project's source tree. Developers have only plain simple interface and all planning decisions are carried out from web interface so right people can be put in charge for release planning. As Changelogic client is integrated with project build script, you can also set preconditions for ending development such as building and running tests. Release Management Changelogic's release management focuses on reducing release risks, for such purposes Changelogic provides version differences tool that lets you compare any two versions of project and find out which changes have been integrated between, which tasks are implemented and even which files are changed along with line by line differences. Branching Model Changelogic has built-in branching model that automatically propagates changes made to older release lines to newer ones so that the newer lines never lack any bug fixes made for support.
