CLEVELAND, Aug. 23, 2011 - UrbanCode, the leading provider of release and deployment automation solutions, announced today the general availability release of UrbanDeploy: their new application release automation software and part of the company's new DevOps Platform.

UrbanDeploy was developed to address the challenges of modern application deployments. UrbanDeploy allows users to model the structure of a multi-tiered (or service oriented) application and orchestrate the processes required to deploy each tier. This provides the ability to create approvals and allows users to promote deployments across multiple environments on their way to Production.  Not only does UrbanDeploy manage code deployments, it also manages configuration deployments.  These configurations can provide application consistency across heterogeneous environments. Changes to the environments can be managed using the inventory and scheduling services.  These services track which versions were deployed to environments and when they were deployed.
