The new release adds seven of the most widely used source code analysis tools to AnthillPro's 50+ integrations; introduces a new plug-in API; supports new repository and database integrations; and delivers a host of new features. Here is a quick introduction to 3.7:

Source-code analysis. The integrations with Fortify 360, Klocwork Insight, Coverity Prevent, CodeSonar, FindBugs, PMD, and Checkstyle enable more AnthillPro users to maximize their investment in static analysis by building quality and security into the application development lifecycle. Initial user feedback has shown that the integrations allow users to detect defects earlier, enforce their code quality standards, and build quality from the beginning. Learn more.

Plug-ins. This release also adds a new plug-in API allowing users to write their own integrations with third-party tools (such as testing tools, SCMs, source-code analyzers, in-house, etc.). With plug-ins, users can create, customize, and rapidly update integrations. In addition, most new integrations written by Urbancode will be implemented as plug-ins. If you are interested in developing a plug-in download the Development Kit Bundle.

Other new features. AnthillPro Version 3.7 introduces many other new features and improvements that enhance usability and provide expanded flexibility:

  • AHPTool gives users the option to access AnthillPro features through the command line.
  • Agent User Impersonation gives administrators greater security and permissions control over scripts run by agents.
  • New support for DB2 and PostgreSQL databases, and a new SCM integration with GIT.
  • Changes to the user interface, including a re-designed Current Activity screen; streamlined agent and environment management screens; and a new Job Iteration screen, present data more intuitively and reduce the number of clicks and repetitive actions required of the user.
