WATERLOO, ONTARIO--( March 18, 2009) - MKS Inc., the global
application lifecycle management (ALM) technology leader, today
announced a reseller agreement with BMC Software that will allow BMC to
resell MKS Integrity, the market leading enterprise ALM platform, as
part of its IT Business Management Suite.
The incorporation of MKS Integrity within BMC's business management platform introduces an Application Management Database (AMDB) to gain 100% visibility into IT change management. The AMDB, federated with BMC's Atrium Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and IT Business Management Suite, will offer the enterprise a complete view of IT change from application inception to retirement. The integration between the AMDB and CMDB bridges the chasm between IT operations and development that has until now prevented full traceability and transparency of IT change.

By incorporating MKS Integrity into BMC's IT Business Management Suite, complete traceability into change requests, operational and applications requirements, code and test artifacts and application release management can be achieved. Impact analysis of potential changes and cost estimates can be provided back to BMC Service Resource Planning for analysis. Furthermore, the cost of all work associated with a project or change request can be rolled up to give a composite picture of the IT costs.
