| NEWNAN, GA, — ClearTrigger complements IBM/Rational ClearCase (V3.2 and higher) making use of basic, straightforward instructions to apply triggers or in many cases avoid triggers. By making it easier for managers of IBM Rational ClearCase to administer and apply ClearCase policy, our clients are getting more from ClearCase without having to experience long learning curves associated with developing policy enforcement triggers. ClearTrigger regions can even span multiple or even parts of multiple ClearCase regions. * It allows companies to implement and utilize ClearTrigger in conjunction with their already developed policy scripts. * It allows companies to implement a user/command matrix that applies to all VOBs in your organization, limit a ClearCase command to only a particular user across all VOBs, or prevent a particular user from performing any VOB data modifying command in a VOB or group of VOBs; all without writing any trigger code. * Many common functions emulated with triggers are already available out of the box. These common policies are implemented with a flip a bit in the policy configuration file. The policy configuration file can apply to a small number of VOBs or all of the current and future VOBs in your organization.
ClearTrigger 12.2 is a minor release of ClearTrigger that has one significant and often requested enhancement necessary to allow ClearTrigger to take full advantage of new additional ClearReplica shipper process in ClearReplica 6.0 and higher. ClearReplica from ABS is a low-cost/feature rich ClearCase Multisite alternative.
