Razor Remote Command Line: The new Razor remote command-line interface (CLI) enables command-line functionality to be executed on a remote machine (other than the Razor server host).  The Razor remote CLI requires the use of both 'ssh' and 'scp'.  These two utilities are typically included as part of the OS installation for most UNIX platforms.  Users running the Razor remote CLI will need to install PuTTY (http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/) 

Razor remote CLI implementation notable exceptions are starting/stopping Razor databases and license managers.  That said, the Razor remote CLI will allow users to perform the following Versions-related operations: check-in, check-out, un-checkout, promote, branch files, terminate branches, get read-only copies of files, remove, rename files/folders, rename files/folders, bump major version number of managed files. 

Planned Eclipse Plug-in for Razor (5.3): The remote command line feature is the first of a two-step process towards the implementation of a Razor “plug in” for the Eclipse platform. Much like other SCM tools, the remote command line will represent Razor’s interface to Eclipse. All from within an Integrated Development Environment (IDE), you will be able to work with Razor’s command line features and many of the other tools that support Eclipse.

A short list of other enhancements in this release follows:

1.  Enhanced the issue text panes so a date/userid entry is added when

the issue is updated.  User may set a new Options entry to control this

feature.

2.  Added new paper clip glyph to issues that is automatically set when

file attachments are present.

3.  Updated ONE_OF_MANY_LIST rendering so the selected item is displayed

when the issue is opened.

4.  Updated the Razor Desktop on Windows so it will start as a small

window at upper-left hand side when user shrinks the window and then

exits.

5.  Updated the Guiffy diff/merge engine on Windows to the latest

version.

6.  Corrected the Guiffy diff/merge engine execution on remote

UNIX/Linux clients.

7.  Corrected problem when terminating branches and not decrementing

NUM_BRANCHES variable.

8.  Added a MAC OS X version of Razor.

9.  Changed the location of Razor.ini on Windows to the user's $HOME

area. 

10. Updated the RCS archive engine on Windows to help with 'diff' issues

on Windows 2003 Server.

11. Added option to use ssh to authenticate remote users instead of

'rexec'.
