Software Configuration Manager

Responsibilities

• Establish an overall CM plan to include the necessary guidelines for maintaining integrity in software baselines
• Establish, administer, and improve the configuration and product build environment
• Accommodate parallel development and releases where necessary (major releases, minor releases, service packs, patches, etc.)
• Develop and maintain an automated build on a daily basis

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of related experience
• Thorough knowledge of CM, source control, and automated build system
• Experience in cruise control, subversion, or other equivalent technologies
• Familiarity with multisource build tools such as maven, ant, make, etc.
• Ability to design, develop, and maintain a CM structure for major releases, patches, and service packs in parallel
• Previous experience in designing and developing a CM strategy for an enterprise strength product update or release
• Ability to identify and resolve CM build conflicts
• Ability to understand new software products and features quickly
• Ability to interface with software engineering, quality assurance, and product management to ensure use of CM best practices

Desired Skills and Experience

• Experience with make, nmake, Hudson, or similar technologies
• Knowledge of licensing techniques and 3^rd party licensing products
• Solid understanding of multiplatform, compatibility, and internationalization issues
• Ability to acquire, setup, and maintain necessary computer hardware, software and tools
• Experience in scripting or programming
