Job Description

Big-company reach, small-company attitude! AAI Corporation, an operating unit of Textron Systems, is currently recruiting for a Configuration Data Management Analyst III (Product Control Management). The Configuration Data Management Analyst III (Product Control Management) will:


  • Manage Vendor/Suppliers and assist in managing CM programs.
  • Perform advanced CM functions of identification, control, audit, status accounting, & coordination of other selected contract requirements.
  • Experience with Vendor and Supplier CM requirements, validating CM records and performing audits of supplier/vendor processes
  • Thorough understanding & interpretation of specifications, contractual data, & hardware requirements
  • Monitor, review/update program budget
  • Process/review configuration change documents (ECPs, ECNs, Deviations, & Waivers)
  • Gathers/coordinates data to complete documentation items & other contract requirements for customer deliveries
  • Generates/monitors hardware change status accounting records & reports
  • Administer & coordinate configuration Control Boards (CCB) agendas & minutes
  • Assist in configuration item identification & decisions
  • Compiles, writes & estimates detailed CM proposal information & justification
  • Evaluates aspects of proposed changes for discrepancies & initiates corrective action
  • Manager/administers Supplier/Vendor configuration audits as well as assist with other audits, generates Minutes & ensures closure of actions.
  • Supports the initiation/update to CM procedures and ensure their compliance.
  • Supports special studies, prepares reports, confers with vendors and other contractors related to CM functions.
  • Collaborates and assists in controlling the assignment of hardware item number identification.
  • Assist the CM Manager and department in other duties and assignments.

Required Skills:

Superior written, presentation & oral communication skills. Extremely proficient in personal computer & corporate tool skills. (e.g., All Microsoft Office Suite- Access, Excel, MS Project). Ability to maintain baselines for planning, managing, & building systems. Ability to effectively & efficiently control engineering changes to systems. Ability to read, interpret and extract applicable information from specifications & procedures. Ability to manage, plan, organize & schedule program activities. Ability to work well with others. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a government security clearance. Experience working with eMatrix, ERP/Oracle preferred.

Required Experience:

Bachelors Degree, preferably in a relevant engineering field with at least three (3) years, five (5) years preferred, in a CM decision-making role.
