The Application Lifecycle Management Architect is a technology leader consulting with global product development groups to build the next generation tools and process environment based on the Microsoft development suite, including Team Foundation Server platform, and augmenting that with other best-in-class tools for software engineering across the entire development lifecycle. This position will provide the leadership and vision to transform the environment from the current global collection of diverse acquired engineering environments, into a consistent, scalable and effective infrastructure of seamlessly integrated tools and agile processes. The tools and process infrastructure supports a very large global software and hardware engineering group in the US, Canada and Europe, and also including a large offshore development group in India.
Required experience includes:
- B.S in Computer Science
- 3+ years Software Engineering on large teams of technical complex applications
- 5+ years Product Development Management experience
- 15+ years total work experience in Product Development
- Recent experience with deploying or usage of Microsoft Team Foundation Server
- Experience with IBM Telelogic Synergy or Rational Clearcase suite of tools
- Project experience implementing infrastructure required for Agile and/or Scrum frameworks (continuous integration, test driven development, etc)
- A passion for the discipline of Software Engineering and building a world class product development infrastructure
- Strong background with IT infrastructure a plus
Desired experience includes:
- MBA, MS, or PhD in related field
- Related Professional Services or other Customer Service experience
- CMMI, ISO-9000 or other quality framework certifications/training
