Position Summary

We are currently looking for a Release Coordinator to help manage corporate software releases for all system deployments within the DigitalGlobe enterprise. This person works with the Release Manager to define release content based on predefined release schedules.  The Release Coordinator also helps with scheduling, and management of deploys/content through the staging and Production environments and communicating release status.  This person will contribute to Release Management process documentation as well as identifying and implementing improvements to that process.

Major Accountabilities

• Assist the Release Manager in carrying out Release Management (RM) duties
• Assist in the maintenance of the RM Process documentation
• Assist with the development and coordination of system deploy schedules
• Assist in the management of all software deployments to Staging, and Production environments
• Work closely with Program and Project Management teams to determine and manage release content
• Assist with the management of operational change requests.
• Contribute to process improvements for the release management process.

Job Requirements

• US Citizen, able to acquire security clearance
• Hands on person – must be able to be immersed in the system and to generate documentation
• Be a problem solver with sound judgment and decision-making skills which includes the ability to prioritize and assess impacts of issues to other resources.
• Manage client expectations to insure realistic deliverables
• Ability to pursue and resolve issues independently
• Strong teamwork skills
• Knowledge of defect tracking system such as Jira
• Must possess good time management skills and be flexible
• Knowledge of ISO 2000 Standard and Sarbanes Oxley Act
• Knowledge of Scrum/agile development methodologies
