SQL Data Base Specialist / Configuration Manager
Fort Gordon / Augusta, GA
Active TS/SCI Security Clearance is required
Position is not expected to deploy/require travel.

General Dynamics has an excellent opportunity in AUGUSTA, GA for a talented SQL Data Base Specialist / Configuration Manager.

Job Qualifications

Seeking a team player as well as independent SQL Data Base Specialist / Configuration Manager to help our customer develop and catalog site data into the CMDB (Configuration Management DataBase).

  • Strong knowledge of Databases querying, design and modeling new and existing data to fit into a database using Structured Query Language.
  • Work experience with doing physical inventories of IT systems using data sheets and bar code scanners.
  • ITIL Foundations or above certification a plus
  • Broad IT understanding of hardware and software concepts
  • Strong knowledge and skills in collection and entry of data into MS Excel, MS Access and web based applications.
  • Strong skills in MS Excel, MS Access, and MS Word
  • Ability to multitask on different projects at the same time.
  • Comprehensive understanding of ITIL - Change Mangement processes
  • Establishes milestones / suspenses for CM initiatives
  • Ability to communicate concepts to team members and management
  • Working familiarity with documentation of CM processes
  • Good customer and mission focus
  • Must develop processes and mechanisms for keeping CM data up to date

The position requires a Top Secret Security clearance with SCI level access. Polygraph is not required. Those without a TS/SCI need not apply. Thank you.
