Job Description
We are currently in need of a Team Foundation Server (TFS) Consultant to transition our existing Product Development teams to Team Foundation Server 2010 (TFS).
The position is located in Foxboro, MA however, we would entertain someone working remote for part of the time and travelling as required.
Good communication skills (primarily for written communication with members of the Dev Tools team as well as the writing of the requirements management lifecycle documentation).
TFS Installation and Configuration expertise. At-least should have done one or two hands on implementation of TFS from grounds up. Should have done the configuration for Continuous Integration with TFS.
Expertise in implementing custom build process.
Implementing the build servers and scripting for automated build and release process. Hands on expertise in migrating existing data from into the new TFS installation. Knowledge of SQL Server and Windows AD which is a must for TFS implementation. Expertise in creating implementation plan.
Advise the client in best practices in Build and Release process.
Come up with a plan for automated release process.
The ideal candidate for this position shall have the following experience:
Minimum 2 years with TFS 2008.
Minimum 6 months with TFS 2010.
Development of multiple TFS projects that require high rigor in their implementation Extensive work (3 years or more experience) with globally distributed teams.
Strong technical background and minimum of 5 years of experience in C#-ASP.Net development, and Visual Studio.
Extensive experience in developing/customizing TFS Process Templates, source code branching structures, and automated build scripts.
Large enterprise deployment experience of applications developed using varying programming languages (C, C++, C#, scripting languages, etc.)
