Broadcast Date: Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010 ![]() Time: 11:00 AM PT / 1:00 PM CT / 2:00 PM ET Speakers: With the mechanics of Agile Development well documented and fairly well understood, what’s next? How does ‘agile enough’ look? What are the issues and roadblocks in adopting an agile approach in the enterprise? To reach a truly successful Agile state, the enterprise must also change its approach to IT –considering contract awards, program management, transparency, and other critical issues. Enter Forge.mil, --a DoD Application Lifecycle Management platform using a SaaS on-demand model enabling agile development in the cloud. After one year and nearly 7000 users, Forge.mil, powered by CollabNet TeamForge, has influenced the creation of procurement legislation defining an agile acquisition process. This effectively enables agile development for the DoD. In this session, CollabNet’s Federal Practice Director, Drew Showers will discuss removing impediments to agile in the enterprise, using the DoD as an example. About the Presenters: Drew Showers, Drew has 24 years of experience that encompasses nearly all disciplines of systems and software engineering in both DoD and Commercial industries. Over the past 10 years, Drew has focused on improving the business of systems and software engineering by applying Agile process concepts with the appropriate technologies. Drew graduated Magna Cum Laude from Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ with a BS in Computer Science and earned a MSE in Systems Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. Drew currently leads CollabNet’s Federal services practice. About the Sponsor:
