VM 8.1.3.2

Some I-NET users are experiencing this error:

Could not find a revision associated with the promotion group, null, in the archive "D:\Ixxxx\xxxxx\xx\xxxx.doc

The project has no promotional group or label associated with the docs. Has anyone seen this error before? I can't reproduce the error? Thanks in advance!

I am having the same problem VM 8.1.4.2, one user has problem,
"Could not find a revision associated with the promotion group, null, in the archive"
when the project has no promotion model setup

Any answers to this?

What version of Java JRE are you both using? You should avoid version 6 and stick with 1.5.

This user has Java: 1.6.0_11,. We have PVCS VM-INET: 8.1.4.2.,but I thought 1.6 was supported in 8.1.4.2?

I believe 1.6.0_07 was the last one you could use. Unless you want to upgrade to PVCS 8.2, you should downgrade the Java.

The error still exist with VM 8.2 and JRE 1.6.0_011

Best is to removed Java 1.6.0_011 and go back to 1.6.0_07

Be careful with 8.2. The applet may not have updated properly. You may need to uninstall the old one first. Clear your Java cache, too.
