With my new found, but fledgling, celebrity as a featured blogger on CMCrossroads I will be posting on all manner of topics, one of which will be Subversion (so check my CMCrossroads blog - under Blogs | Featured Blogs - often :) ). Also, if you are interested in seeing a raw stream of Subversion only blog posts step on over to my company blog or, if you Twitter, try @svnguru where you will see snippets and blog post announcements relating to Subversion (and of course you are welcome to direct message questions or suggested topics for future posts either here, on Twitter, of through any of the may ways I can be contacted).

Hi Mark,
We are in process of migrating from MKS to SVN and our proposed structure is trunk/tags/branches.
I am not sure why that structure was opted out and I just started exploring SVN. I am very much keen to learn the different ways of handling of those structures as well. Also if you can guide me to a link or material where we can go through in detail depth about SVN.
Wasi,
The approach one could take is (considering your source safe database is heavily loaded with code), move on approach, meaning, leave whatever history, code that is sitting in the VSS and create new structure in SVN.
Your old history will remain in VSS but new development should utilize SVN.
