IBM sees big demand for content management

Reuters - February 25, 2003- IBM hopes to see double-digit growth in one of its key software divisions in 2003, despite a chronic slowdown in corporate technology spending, the unit's general manager said Monday. The division is responsible for content management software, which is used to manage the vast amounts of corporate data and images that are stored and searched by employees on a daily basis. Content management sales grew 26 percent in 2002, over the prior year, said Janet Perna, head of the Data Management Software Group for IBM.
