I realized during the first few weeks of this relationship that I was working for one of the smartest people I had ever met, but that I had a big job ahead of me if I was ever going to gain his respect and show him that my work was of value to the firm. Today my boss is my biggest supporter and helps me get my job done by promoting the value of my team’s contribution to the firm.
