Politics and Communications

The concept of communications may have completely opposed meanings. From a modern point of view, it binds to politics, and its archetype is secret diplomacy. Its mostly uses silence, secret, exclusion, privacy.

The post-modern opposite is thus SCM communications: making information public, objective, manageable. Reducing the noise by sharing.

The break-even between the old and the new way is a matter of complexity. When systems become so complex that management is needed, the artificial complexity which relates to politics cannot be afforded anymore.
