A Picture is worth thousand words

Wait a minute... Picture? No, it is not a picture... It is a sentence! A sentence that tells you pictures are good? A sentence that was so near convincing you? Sure, a word is worth thousands pictures, even when what it tells is crap!

Words are easy to remember, and to propagate! They are efficient and snappy! They can easily be written, and analyzed, turned around, reengineered, refactored. Pictures cannot.

French sociologist Pierre Bourdieu once noted that pictures are often as good as their legend. Legend? That's Latin: legenda, like in delenda est Carthago —Carthage must be destroyed. A legend is what must be read: legere is to read. And Bourdieu added: and what must be read? Most often legends!
