ASG-Life Cycle Manager (LCM) is an easy-to-use, menu-driven software product that controls changes to software or documents and ensures only authorized changes are incorporated into sanctioned baselines, releases, or production environments. LCM brings order to the development process by helping to control the migration of changes throughout the software or document life cycle. LCM provides functionality for the entire development span through OS/390® or MVS.

• Stores any machine-readable information and tracks all changes made to that information

• Allows independent applications to be stored as systems, hierarchically

• Provides packages for streamlining change definitions and manipulating them as single units across the software life cycle

• Enables control of dependencies between code elements (e.g., a load module and its sources)

• Provides control functions such as access security

• Maintains an external log of critical database activities through the Notification Facility

• Allows access through TSO/ISPF panels
