Harvest uses the concept of Packages which contain file changes. Packages follow a LifeCycle (like an SDLC). At each point in the lifecycle, it is possible to extract all of the files and perform builds.

You will need to be comfortable doing scripting to be effective at using Harvest. It is a powerful tool.
