Change Management.

The discipline of identifying, assessing and processing changes? and customizations to packaged application suites. Typically, a subset or extension of an enterprise's overall approach to change management, including software configuration management and web content management.

(1) Change Management requires you to obtain from the customer the specifics of what it takes to satisfy him or her, (2) Change Management requires you to prepare a description document which identifies those specifics, (3) Change Management requires you to control that document throughout the lifetime of your relationship with that customer, and (4) Change Management requires you to ensure that the product (hardware, object-oriented software, or a service) that you deliver complies with that document.

I feel unhappy with these two definitions, which I believe, are only valid in the context of the CM paradigm. I'll offer in a separate page my concerns from the point of view of the SCM one.
