AccuRev SCM is a client-server software configuration management system that runs on Windows and most Unix platforms, including Linux. Clients communicate with the server via the ubiquitous TCP/IP protocol, making it easy for geographically-distributed or outsourced development groups to deploy AccuRev.

AccuRev uses a parallel development model. Each user gets his own workspace and is isolated from other people's changes. 2-way diff and 3-way merge tools, with both command-line and graphical interfaces, make it a breeze to integrate changes made in different workspaces. AccuRev records all merges, eliminating the need to repeatedly re-merge the same information.

Special features include tracking of namespace changes (renames and moves), integrated bug tracking, atomic transactions that capture all aspects of a change, transaction-based client and server triggers, binary file support and smart handling of end-of-line characters in a Unix/Windows environment. The AccuRev interface, with integrated issue-based workflow, advanced visualization, process automation, and artifact traceability improves collaboration, visibility and management of parallel and distributed development for geographically distributed and outsourced teams to remain agile and competitive.

The AccuRev GUI looks and acts the same on Unix and Windows.

AccuRev SCM goes beyond the features found in most CM systems. It allows you to do simply what would require complicated scripts and years of experience to do with other CM systems.
