The ACME project started at http://acme.bradapp.net as an attempt to collect and organize best practices for software configuration management (particularly for using SCM tools for change/request-tracking, version control, software build, etc.).

The idea behind the ACME project is to help software projects to Assemble Configuration Management Environments for software development (hence the acronym: ACME). The ACME website contains webpages of SCM links, SCM definitions, SCM reading recommendations, and links to several papers and presentations of SCM Patterns and best-practices authored or co-authored by Brad Appleton^?
